Mehmet Ulema, Ph.D.

Director

Dr. Ulema has over 40 years of experience in Telecommunications. He is an active member of IEEE and is on the IEEE Standards Associations’ Board of Governors. His experience is in Network and Service Management, Software Defined Networks and Network Functions Virtualization, Service Overlay Networks, Mobile Wireless Networks, Telecom Standardization, Public Safety Networks and Critical Communications and Telecom Analytics.

Dr. Ulema is currently working on Public Safety Networks and Critical Communication in the United States. He is a professor at Manhattan College at the Computer Information Systems department, teaching and conducting a wide range of research in Telecommunications.

Dr. Ulema is a graduate of Ph.D. (Computer Science) - Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, New York, 1980 (Polytechnic University is now Tandon School of Engineering at New York University), MS (Computer Science) - Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, New York, 1977 and BS & MS (Mechanical Engineering) - Technical University of Istanbul, Turkey, 1972.
